Clients

TBWA tends to attract big name companies who are a little bit more on the edge, have enough money to take a bit of a risk, and want to be seen as bold, epic, and young.  With clients such as Gatorade, Adidas, Mac, and Absolut, TBWA generally markets towards a younger crowd – a crowd inundated with sensationalism, a group of people that enjoys having a good laugh, but also a good competition, and a target audience that is still passionate and idealistic about the world.

Clients that are looking to break into this market share, or have already identified teens through young adults as their principle target, are the best matches for TBWA.  As seen by their interactive and technologically savvy website, TBWA prides itself as being a step ahead of competitors and attracting a more youthful following; it is quite a bit more attractive than your run-of-mill agency site even if it is a tad confusing to first time visitors.

In the past, TBWA has reached heavily to this younger demographic in campaigns for Apple, Washington Mutual, Adidas, Taco Bell, McDonalds, Gatorade, Pepsi, Nissan, Visa, and Starburst among many others. Of these, the “Whoo Hoo” campaign for Washington Mutual, the “In An Absolut World” campaign for Absolut, and the “Get a Mac” campaign for Apple are the more notoriously well-known.

Other ad campaigns that have been produced by TBWA are the “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” ads,
and the 1984 Apple Computer Campaign that inspired consumers to “Think Different” and the Energizer Bunny Campaign.
